The Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
When we were in Paris and visited the Notre Dame Cathedral there was so much to see. Our tour guide brought binoculars so that we would be able to see the individual pictures that are in the stained glass windows. I was intrigued by the stations of the cross scuptures.
I was reminded of this when the scriptures on Sunday were about Jesus visiting the disciples:
John 20:25 (NASB)
25 So the other disciples were saying to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
I do not doubt that God exists, that Jesus rose from the dead, or that The Holy Spirit is with us now. I do, however, sometimes doubt if God is listening or answering my prayers. I try to think of the history I have with God. I think of all the times he has answered my prayers in the past. Then I can trust that God is listening and try to be patient.
Do you doubt? Are there people around you who doubt? How can we be the Jesus to others? How can we be the living example that God exists? Can others around you see something in you that makes them believe? Is your Jesus showing?
